Updating and Uninstalling Lawn
Updating Lawn
Choose Lawn > Check for Updates… in the menu bar and follow the update window to download and install a new version. Lawn shuts down its hosted apps as part of installing the update and restarts afterward. Your apps are unavailable during this restart.
Updating Lawn itself is separate from updating a hosted app. Use Updates in Lawn's sidebar for hosted app updates.
Quitting Lawn
Closing Lawn's window leaves it running in the menu bar. To stop hosting, choose Lawn > Quit Lawn or press Command-Q while Lawn is active. Confirm Quit if Lawn asks about active apps, then wait for shutdown to finish. Quitting stops hosted apps and keeps their saved data and snapshots.
If shutdown fails, Lawn stays open and shows the failure. Use Report a problem if you need help.
To stop just one app while keeping the others available, use its Stop control. When you open Lawn again, apps with Auto-Start enabled start automatically.
Removing Lawn
If you want to delete hosted apps and their data, delete those apps in Lawn before removing Lawn itself. Deleting a hosted app permanently removes its data and snapshots. Export anything you need to keep first; see Your Data.
If you installed the command-line tool, uninstall the CLI before removing Lawn. That command removes the lawn shortcut from /usr/local/bin.
Quit Lawn and wait for shutdown to finish. In Finder, open Applications and move Lawn to the Trash.
Removing the Lawn application leaves hosted app data and snapshots on your Mac. It does not delete them or remove the installed CLI shortcut.
