App updates
Update your apps from a new Updates view, review several updates together, and restore a snapshot if you need to go back. This release also improves app recovery and catalog compatibility.
New Features
- App updates: Find available updates and follow their progress in the new Updates view.
- Update All: Review and update all outdated apps together, or select just the apps you want to update.
- Update snapshots: Lawn takes a snapshot before updating an app so you can restore its previous state. Choose how long to keep these snapshots in Settings.
- Version selection: Install an older catalog version through the CLI, such as
lawn app install paperless-ngx@2.20.15.
Improvements
- App updates apply required intermediate versions in order and wait for their migration checks to finish before continuing.
- Recovery Options now offers an update when a newer version is available for an app that will not start.
- Catalog apps remain installable when their newest version requires a Lawn update that has not shipped yet. Lawn selects the newest compatible revision.
- CLI installs now leave apps stopped. Add
--startto start an app after installation.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed running apps losing network access after Lawn's background controller crashes and restarts.
- Fixed startup reporting success when an app's dependency failed. The original failure details now remain available after cleanup.
- Fixed n8n editor connections through Lawn by correcting WebSocket request headers.
